History

1822 Birth of the Bollore Paper Mills, close to Quimper (France), specialized in the manufacturing of cigarette paper, letter copy paper, bible paper and carbon paper.
 
1948 Launch of capacitor paper and specialization of factories by types of products.
 
1969 Start of the first experimental production line of ultra thin polypropylene dielectric film for the capacitor industry.
 

1972 Simultaneous start up of the first industrial production lines of dielectric polypropylene and aluminium metallized films.
 
1976 Establishment of the U.S. subsidiary Bollore Inc, a converting company supplying both films and paper to the capacitor industry
 
1981 Establishment of a second U.S. factory dedicated to the metallization and converting of dielectric film.
 
1983 Start of the new overwrap shrink film business.
 
1993 Establishment of the Chinese subsidiary BSDM, specialized in the metallization of dielectric films.
 
1996 Building of a new facility close of Quimper, specialized in the manufacturing of display shrink films.
 
2002 January 1, 2002, establishment of the company batScap dedicated to the manufacturing of elements of energy storage : batteries and supercapacitors.
