Bollore Incorporated
Bollore Incorporated was incorporated in 1976 to develop the sales of Bollore made products into North America. Bollore Inc., it’s vertically integrated subsidiary in Connecticut, is currently involved in the manufacturing and sales of three primary product lines: Dielectric polypropylene films, Polyolefin shrink films and Food packaging ( barrier, lidding etc. ) films. Bollore ITF is a world leader in the manufacturing of Dielectric film in both volume and technology. Bollore Inc. is responsible for the converting and sales of this dielectric film, metallized and/or plain film, to the capacitor market in North America.
Bollore’s polyolefin shrink films or Bolphane® range offers the market a variety of grades that fit any and all display packaging applications. Bollore Innovative Thin Film has designed it’s range to offer: all purpose film solutions, e.g. working in lower temperatures, high shrink force, thin film alternatives, and all are compatible with a multitude of shrink packaging equipment.
Bollore Inc. is responsible for the converting and sales of the Bolphane® shrink films into the USA and Canada. Bollore ITF has developed specialized food packaging films known as Bolfresh® for a wide range of food packaging formats. Our extensive Bolfresh® range is intended for packaging methods such as Modified Atmosphere Packaging ( M.A.P.), lidding applications, and the overwrapping of meat, poultry, fresh fruits, vegetables and seafood products.
Bollore Inc. is responsible for the converting and sales of this Bolfresh® range of food packaging films into the USA and Canada.
Our Connecticut facilities are certified to ISO9001 (product quality) and FSSC22000 (food safety) standards.
Located in Dayville, CT, Bollore Inc. is a subsidiary of a French corporation with world wide holdings in Media, Logistic, Industry and Finance.

Building the Future since 1822
Our History
1822
Foundation of the Bolloré paper mill, specialised in thin and technical papers (bible and carbon papers..).
1969
Manufacturing of dielectric film for capacitors begins, with thickness from 5-10 microns.
1976
Bolloré Incorporated is founded in Dayville, Connecticut, to develop the North American market for Bolloré’s innovative film solutions and industrial products.
1983
Start-up of the Bolphane® shrink film production, manufactured with the double bubble technology.
1996
Inauguration of a new production plant dedicated to packaging films, followed by an expansion in 2001 to reach 17,000 sqm production surface in total.
2009
Presentation of the Bolphane® BHE120, first recyclable polyolefin shrink film on the market.
2011
Introduction of the Bolphane® BTT line, films characterised by their extreme thinness.
2013
Launching of the Bolfresh® ‘films for food’ range, including films with barrier properties to reduce food waste.
2017
Acquisition and start of a new extrusion line, a 13 layer Triple Bubble, the 1st in the world.
2020
Bolloré renews its products and the display range of films is now called Bolphane® R3. BRi, a new film reference formulated with post-industrial, regenerated material, is introduced at the same time.
2021
Installation of an additional line to manufacture reticulated BO-PE films.
2026
Launch of a major investment program to reinforce our industrial roots in Europe and drive sustainable growth:
-Installation of a second Triple Bubble line, boosting production capacity for food packaging films while supporting the development of more sustainable solutions in line with future PPWR requirements.
-Upgrade of a BOPP production line to increase capacity, extend the product range, and meet the growing demands of the dielectric market.

Our Commitments
At Bolloré Innovative Thin Films, environmental management is a cornerstone of our sustainable development approach. Embedded across all our activities, it supports the implementation of our industrial strategy and reflects our commitment to balancing economic performance, technological innovation, and environmental responsibility.
This commitment applies to all our businesses, from the formulation and manufacturing of dielectric films for capacitors to shrink films for packaging applications.
Through a continuous improvement approach, we develop increasingly efficient and sustainable solutions that meet our customers’ expectations while contributing to the reduction of our environmental footprint.

High-performance films

Mastering the ultra thin
Thin films providing high manufacturing efficiencies are the benchmarks of Bolloré shrink packaging.
A high level of technical know-how in combination with the application of the latest generation of resins make that the Bolloré range offers the same performances as conventional thicker films.

Recycling
All Bolloré polyolefin shrink films are either recyclable through industrial plastic processes at the end of their useful life, or converted into energy according to standard EN 13431.

Optimized packaging process
Bolloré shrink films are known and appreciated by the major packaging machine manufacturers.
Bolloré films are systematically tested on all kind of machines and sealing systems.
From manual to automatic high speed machines, optimisation of your packaging line is guaranteed.

Controlled management of the risk of plastic granules being lost to the environment
Bolloré Innovative Thin Films plants are certified by Socotec for their effective management of losses of Industrial Plastic Granules. In line with the French law on the fight against waste and the promotion of the circular economy, Bolloré Innovative Thin Films is committed to preventing losses of IPGs, and therefore to controlling pollution risks, in order to help improve environmental protection.
Optimise resource utilization
Bolloré films are ultra-thin yet perfectly resistant and adapted to high-speed machines. They are developed to seal and shrink quickly at low temperatures.
With longer footage on each roll, less production stops occur. Less waste is generated and less empty packaging materials (boxes, cores, pallets) are handled. Less trucks are needed for transportation thus minimizing the carbon footprint.

High quality standards
As a guarantee of quality and safety, the Bolloré ITF manufacturing sites comply with the rigorous standards
– Iso 14001
– BRC IoP (British Retail Consortium, Institute of Packaging)
– EcoVadis
– ISCC+
– Food contact compliance in accordance with European regulations and U.S. FDA requirements.
